ABO blood type inference
Confidently resolve your ABO blood type from raw DNA
Upload your 23andMe or AncestryDNA raw file and receive a validated interpretation of the rs8176719, rs8176746, and rs8176747 markers. Genostruct explains each call so you can understand how the result was inferred.
Determine Your Blood Type From DNA
Your ABO blood type is determined by variants in the ABO gene on chromosome 9. These variants control whether you produce functional A or B glycosyltransferases, or neither (resulting in type O due to a loss-of-function deletion).
This tool analyzes the key ABO markers in your raw genetic data to infer your blood type: A, B, AB, or O. Note that this evaluates only the ABO system, your Rh factor and other clinically relevant blood groups require formal blood testing.
Upload your raw DNA file
Securely parse the core ABO markers in seconds. Supported providers: 23andMe, AncestryDNA.
